A great Day in my life - Meeting Dr Ravi Dattatreya, the person who gave me a Keyboard in Nov'04 and oppurtunity to perform exclusively for him and his family.

I was always wanting to meet Ravi uncle and get his blessings in person and that dream came true today, on the 30th Jun'07 when we visited him at Bangalore with his family. Ravi uncle was in India for private function in his family for which we were invited. As we could not attend the function day we checked and met him today in Bangalore and thanks to Ravi uncle and family who had spared time to see me in spite of their busy schedule to pack up and leave tonight to USA.

I was happy to perform in front of him but only thing that i had taken my new board. I am sure god will give me an oppurtunity to make Ravi uncle see me perform on his board as well in the near future. Srivatsava anna (Ravi uncle's son), Mrs Ravi aunty and all his relatives were very knowledgeable and appreciated me with their blessings. Ravi uncle made me richer today - this time with his cash reward and also blessed me for a great future. All the aunties, uncle and grandmas also blessed me. You can also visit http://videosonsathya.blogspot.com/ for a small video clipping of the Rama Namavali with Dr Ravi uncle's family members.

Another great news for the day.

Yes I received the POGO Prize Certificate today with the LIC Policy - sum assured of 3 lakhs with maturity value of 5 lakhs in May 2022.

A great day to have got blessings from great people and also receiving this long pending Prize certificate from POGO TV.

Private concert on 17th June’07

I enjoyed the concert today with the team of Ananthakrishnan anna – Violin, Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan uncle – Mrudhangam, Saravanan – Pad, Suri uncle – Guitar, Pradeep uncle – Tabla, Hariharasubramaniam anna – Ghatam with Girish of Karthik Audio manning the audio system.

We started the concert early against the scheduled of 7pm as we had almost a full house by about 640pm itself. The audience were very pleased with our performance and appreciated every song rendered. Requests for songs started coming in very early and I was happy that I could render almost every one. The crowd made me remember the turn out one of the concerts I performed at the same venue for Padmashree Sri Nalli sir’s function for felicitating Padma Awardees year back.

I am so happy today as i know we will be taking delivery of our new Maruthi Zen - Estilo Car (Pearl Silver Colour) Tomorrow.

I am happy to have spent my holidays well with lot of concerts which were outstation and also in DOHA. The trip to Thekkady which we had to cancell from Theni, The concert at the temple premises of Goddess shrine at Thirunageswaram etc were the highlights of my holidays.

It was nice to have been a part of “Fun day Out” celebrated by POGO and Cartoon Network on the 2nd June’07 in Chennai.

I was very happy to have taken a break from the routine to have gone for a drive to Mahabaliburam along with my chithappa’s sons Surya and Sowmya last week end. As we liked appa decided to take a room in Mamalla Beach resort and we enjoyed our stay with a great game of cricket with soft ball on the shore. It was also a great swimming session for almost 3 to 4 hours in the resort pool.

We continued our drive to Pondy and we visited Auroville and Mother’s Ashram which were a real great spiritual experience. The drive on ECR was fantastic and all of us enjoyed it.

Looking forward to all your blessings and wishes as i am going to school tomorrow – 14th June’07 and hoping to have a great year in the 7th Standard.

I had a great day today being my mother's birthday and it was also a good day because i was performing in front of many of Chennai's leading company's Chairmen, CEOs and MDs who were all present for Times of India's Trail Blazer Awards 2007 held today. I performed with Paul Jacob uncle on bass Guitar, Donnan Murray uncle on the Lead Guitar and Balu uncle on the Mrudhangam. I enjoyed playing this concert particularly when Donnan uncle and myself were on free flow in Jog and Vakulabaranam.

I was happy that top industrialists came and appreciated me and amma was happy that i had a good concert on her birthday. Also after a long time Akyilesh anna was with me for almost throughout the day as we recorded the Gayathri Manthra on keyboard to be incorporated in my upanayanam Video cd. A concert that satisfied by Aaa...thatha!

In my younger days i used to call my mother's father as Aaa..thatha as he used to teach me music and my father's father as Thapi (his actual name is Pathy). Yesterday in my concert for my father's friend's son Dhanvin's upanayanam i performed a little bit of Violin and this moment was probably the most happiest for him as he always wanted me to play violin.

I performed violin during Mohan raga varnam and also for kalpanaswaram in Vaathapi Ganapathim and i think it came out well as my thaatha appreciated very much for this effort. Here is the video links:
and please forward your opinion my email to keyboardsathya(at)gmail.com

It was also for the first time i performed with Mrudhangam - Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan uncle, Kanjeera - Harsih anna, Ghatam - Hariharasubramaniam and Thavil - Sourirajan uncle and was happy. Appa's friend KNR uncle and family was with us and i enjoyed playing with his son Koushik - a sprite fanatic!!!! at our house and we had a great time.

It was after almost a year or more my brother (athai's son) Viky performed (1st Picture) with me on pad and we enjoyed the show very much. My composition came out very well and here is a small clipping http://tinyurl.com/2w8oq6

I was also moved by the gesture of Arjun Ganesh anna when he offered his mrudhangam for Sri Sriniavasa Raghavan, brides' father, to perform on his mrudhangam(2nd picture). Incidentally Mr SV has been a gold medalist in Mrudhnagam and i understand he was indeed playing after many years. He played well for the krithi Venkatachala Nilayam.

The concert was in Thirumulaivoyil and we all went in a Innova car and had a good time cracking jokes while traveling both ways from to my house.

27th May'07 A great performance from our team.

It was indeed a good performance from our team of Premkumar uncle (Sri Sivamani's brother) on PAd, Kumbakonam Swaminathan anna on Mrudhangam, Karaikal Venkatasubramaniam anna on Violin, Pradeep uncle on Tabla, Suri uncle on Bass guitar and Thirunavukarasu of Karthick Audio on the audio system.

In fact the audience response was also an important factor for the success as they showed keen interest in our performance. I tried certain new songs on stage and every thing worked so well that all us had a satisying day. The party hosted us so well and we all enjoyed the food also.

It is also a sad evening for our family as this was our last concert trip with our dear 7 year old Matiz which has been sold today (28th May'07). We all have been talking about the car for the whole day and we had satisfy ourselves as we have decided to get a new car preferebly a Maruthi - Estillo in a few days. Will keep you all updated.

Fyi my entire concert recording at Podhigai (Doordharshan Channel) is to be shown on 30th May'07 at 7:05 pm and pls do watch and forward your comments to my email id. Keybaordsathya (at) gmail.com

Trichur - 14th May 2007. A trip amma and myself missed with heavy hearts.

Yes it was Hari uncl's wedding at Trichur we missed due to amma 's All India Radio Audition on the 14th MAy'07 same day of teh wedding at Trichur.

Appa just returned told me lots of interesting stories about the trip including the beautiful photo of Hari uncle and Dhanuya akka's in front of the van to identify the group while being received. The second photo is with all the members of Krupasankari Street who had been to the wedding. 3rd and 4th the vital moment of tying up of Thirumangalyam.

I understand it was indeed organised in a great way with good rooms, food, transport arrangements and a great Hosting indeed. Kudos to both Hari uncle's and Dhanya akka's families for a great show.

Looking forward to our show for the reception on the 17th May in Chennai.

A happy attempt of the legends work

It was indeed a great concert yesterday with 7 artists (like Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha & Ni) enhancing my concert yesterday with Karaikal V'Subramaniam on Violin, Trivandrum Balaji on Mrudhangam, Pradeep - Tabla, HariharaSubramaniam - Ghatam, Sowrirajan - Kanjeera & Morsing, Suri - Bass Guitar & Sridhar - Rhythm Pad, for a private concert. It was also a concert which was attended by Sri AC Muthaiah & family (Chairman - Spic group of companies) and I was really thrilled on seeing them. They were so simple and appreciated me.

As requested performed classical, semi classical and Film numbers apart from a piece from my guru's track of "Remember Sakthi" (Track no. 4) based on Vakulabaranam and a piece from Sri L Sankar's jugalbandhi on ragam Hindolam. This was new attempts with this kind of set up and i think it came out very well particularly considering the fact that we did not rehearse at all. I just shared my thoughts on these tracks with the artists and it was a great co-ordination.

The photo of Trv Balaji anna i liked very much - just preparing the ravai for the mrudhangam and the next one is of Meenakshi Sundareswarar in the hall premises.

A great trip to Machilipatnam 30th April 2007

I wont forget (nor my appa, Prasad uncle -Mrudhangam and Durgabavani aunty - Violin) the trip from Vijayawada to Machilipatnam and back as i had the opurtunity to travel in a treasure car. Yes an ambassaddor car model 1982 with no ac and the heat inside was far more than felt outside the car. It was also a jumpy drive through out the trip. We reached the venue in time and was surprised to see my picture on advt banner in a big way. Understood the expectation and prayed Lord Rama in which temple premises the concert was held. Prasad uncle gave me lot of tips for perfoming korvais and i will do it in further concerts. I am in the phot with Mr Prsad uncle on the extreme left and Sri Suryaprasad uncle - the organiser in the middle.

Lord Rama helped me not only perform the concert but also managed to bring us back to Vijawada after a two hour drive back at 1225am. We should have missed the train back to Chennai if it was on time and with Lord Rama's grace the train was late by 1 and half hours. Reached home and had good rest all through the day.

Concert at Vijawada - 29th April 2007

It was indeed a different type of weather i experienced in Vijayawada with dry heat. Fortunately we had ac room and so escaped from teh heat. However in the stage it was like a oven and still managed to eprform a 2 hr 45 mts concert. I was happy with the large audience and also with the presence of Sri Anapuram Ramaswamy uncle whom i had met him in Bangalore during the convention of Sri Sri Ravishankarji's Art of Living concert. The hotel we stayed also housed lots of ants and spiders and i was always having a fear if they will bite. Nothing happened till we left the room. The food given by the attenders were excellent.

The train journey was simply great in chaircar and we also wont forget the journey as we had witnessed an accident with our TTR who fell from the moving train to save a lady who had just jumped out. Due to the prompt action of the guard (luckily our coach was just before the guard's coach) the train stopped immediatley and the TTR escaped with minor injury. Appa & myself were standing near the door and saw this action. A nightmarish experience indeed.

A private concert in Chennai 28th April'07

The concert today for a private function was totally different with the entire auditorium in silence for almost throughout the concert. It was arranged by EMS mama (Ghatam) and with Kandadevi Vijayaraghavan uncle (violin) and Kumbakonam Saravanan uncle (Mrudhangam), we had nice co-ordination and presented a good concert. The people who had been there to wish the couple also appriciated me as they were going past me.

I now look forward to the trip to Vijayawada and Machilipatnam on the 29th and 30th April to sign of for this month.
